Bridgeport, CT - The Bridgeport Bluefish won their second consecutive game against the Somerset Patriots on Wednesday evening, 4-0, in front of 2,957 fans at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard. The Bluefish scored as D.J. Boston hit an RBI single to right field to score Angel Espada from second base in the bottom of the third inning. Jason Torres hit his second homerun in so many games in the bottom of the fourth to score Gary Burnham who walked to lead off the inning to put the 'Fish up three runs. Burnham finished the night, 1-for-2 with a walk, a sacrifice fly in the eighth to score Ron Fenwich (RBI) and two stolen bases. Bluefish starter, Pat Ahearne, went seven scoreless innings allowing four hits while striking out six and walking three. Somerset starter, Mark DiFelice, went six innings allowing three earned runs on seven hits while walking one and striking out seven. Angel Miranda increased his scoreless inning streak to 19.0 with a scoreless inning pitched in the eighth. Brian Bowles tacked on another inning to his own streak increasing it to 16.1. The Bluefish wrap up their three game series against the Somerset Patriots starting on Thursday. It's Fan Appreciation Night at the Ballpark as the Bluefish say Thank You to all their fans and sponsors with lucky seat and section giveaways all night.
