Arcadia 2001 was a console that was pretty much dead on arrival. It came out around the same time as the Atari 5200 and Colecovision. The console was released by Emerson Radio Corp. and not buy the same people that released the Arcadia Supercharger for the Atari 2600. However Emerson had the worldwide rights to the name, sued, and the Arcadia was renamed Starpath. Emerson has licensed the rights to the console to 25+ different companies, which sold them under a variety of different names. I do actually remember seeing a display of these once in a department store, but I ended up picking up an Atari 5200 and never saw an Arcadia 2000 console ever again... |
