Boxing was one of the first four Activision games released for the Atari 2600, along with Dragster, Fishing Derby, and Checkers.

Ice Hockey was programmed by Bob Whitehead, who programmed a handful of games for both Atari and Activision.

Bob Whitehead's games included Stampede, Chopper Command, Video Chess, Football, Home Run, Skiing, Private Eye, and others.

Fights were two minutes long and a knock out would be happen if a player reached 100 points.
