Tengen's Tetris was a port of the Atari arcade game. Tengen was an Atari company.

Nintendo also released a Tetris, and sued Tengen. By the time the case was over, about 100,000 copies of the Tengen version had been sold.

Tetris by Tengen was an “unlicensed” Nintendo Entertainment release and did not carry their seal of approval.

The Tengen version was superior to the Nintendo version in every way imaginable.

Back when I collected video games, I paid $200 for my copy of this game.
